DATE is a Windows program that is used to display or change the current date settings for your system.


Syntax:
DATE [ /T ]
DATE [ /? ]

DATE Typed alone, this command will display the current date, then it will prompt to input a new one. Press ENTER to keep the default setting.
/T This will display the current date only- without prompting to enter a new one.
/? Displays the built-in help text.


Example:

  • DATE /T
    This will output the current date to the screen. My result was: Thu 07/16/2009.
